Guest Reviews
What a charming surprise! A group of us booked the house for a weekend yoga retreat. The rooms are comfy and cozy but with plenty of space – most with bathrooms en suite! The kitchen is large and well-supplied. The dining room and living room are perfect for a larger group but the feeling is cozy. We were enchanted by the house, and then we went walking around the area! The house sits on the side of a hill and the views are peaceful and lovely. There are tiny streams flowing down the hill and within a 15-minute walk the streams come together to form a river. All this beauty is within minutes of restaurants and shops. We’ll come back!

The villa is much bigger than comes across from the picture. Apart from the bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, there is a large kitchen, dining hall (yes, hall, not room) billiard room, reading space and a lounge with a fireplace. All of this allows the guests to be either together or to find their little quiet niche. And of course there is a large garden and terrace. We are told by the host that a swimming pool will complement the facilities next year. Perfect! I would say it’s the only thing missing right now. It’s well-suited to be used as a party venue or as a family holiday destination, and more than one family would fit in easily. Recommended.

We booked through a different channel, but I want to leave a review because the accommodation is new and little known, however both John and the facility deserve to be known! The house is large and spacious, very clean, well equipped and furnished with a beautiful garden on the edge of the forest – very suitable for children. The view is open to the hills and fields, and the traffic is practically non-existent. The surroundings are both forested and open, around the building there are trees on three sides, which provide shelter for the villa from the other houses of the village, which is just a 3 minute walk away – ideal! John is the perfect host – he speaks Slovenian, has local contacts, is full of suggestions and information for planning the ideal stay for his guests.
